Some of the Faces at Cowork South Bay

Alice Crisci

Founder, Ovum Medical

Alice Crisci is a survivor, activist, author and entrepreneur. She founded the oncofertility charity, Fertile Action, three weeks into her breast cancer diagnosis at 31-years-old, co-sponsored the first fertility preservation bill in the nation and now tracks and responds to over 80 bills nationwide impacting access to reproductive medicine. She is also the founder of Ovum Medical, a science and technology company launching the first, global mhealth application called MedAnswers, to connect 40 million infertile people to 1,500 global fertility experts. Her fertility preservation miracle son is now three-years-old and is aptly named Dante, meaning enduring.
I love the energy of Cowork South Bay! It’s so close to my house which is critical so I can be with my son instead of in the car commuting. Matt, Russ and Sandra work so hard to make sure my growing business has everything it needs to succeed. I feel like they are part of our team and are mission critical to our success.

Lisa Hoegler

Owner, LA South REIA

I’m Lisa Hoegler, owner of LA South REIA (Real Estate Investors Association). I have been a real estate investor since 2004 and now lead LA’s largest and most active real estate investing community. Whether you are a beginning investor or a seasoned pro, join us for incredible networking and wealth-building educational workshops. Our goal is to get our members from where they are to financial freedom. For more information, visit us at www.LASouthREIA.com.
Cowork South Bay has been LA South REIA’s second home for more than a year. As the organizer of weekly after-hours meetings and weekend workshops, I was constantly looking for affordable, yet flexible space. Having access to the amenities of the classroom at Cowork has provided a convenient and cost-effective solution to my space requirements. Beyond the space, the staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating too. If you are looking to host a small training event, I would not hesitate to use the green room at Cowork South Bay.

I enjoy working out of Cowork South Bay because the community is really tightly knit, and the space serves great coffee! CoWork South Bay keeps me focused and opens up new opportunities for me with the intelligent business minded folks that share the same work hard, play hard mindset.

James Kao

Photographer, James Kao Foto

I am an award-winning freelance photographer specializing in sports, portraits, travel and documentary photography.  I help businesses and individuals with creating attention-grabbing imagery for their marketing and promotional needs as well as provide imagery for magazines, stock and fine art sales.  My work has won numerous industry awards and been published in national magazines.  www.jameskaofoto.com
I like the convenience of coming in at any time of the day or night and having a comfortable facility to work. The wifi is super fast and I never have a problem finding a space to work and lay out my work materials.  It’s also safe to leave my desk to use the restroom or grab lunch outside and I appreciate that there is an onsite manager during working hours to watch over things.  I also like the community that is building here and the creative energy.  I’ve already been talking to a few other Coworkers about collaborating on projects.  As a photographer, I also have space to display some of my photo art pieces which is nice to show clients who visit me here.  I’ve found that I’ve been much more productive in my business since starting work here only a month ago and have been recommending this space to my friends.

I love the atmosphere here at Cowork South Bay! It is a bright, colorful, open space surrounded with stimulating art and photography by local artists. But by far its biggest assets is its people. The staff are wonderful at keeping the space vibrant, lively, welcoming and efficient for all members. The members are also great, I just moved to California from the east coast and I find the opportunity to network with other members is a great way to find out more about the local business culture and meet interesting professionals.
